What We Do

We build, acquire, lease and operate telecommunications towers for major Mobile Network Operators across eight African markets and Oman.

 

Overview

Reporting to the Group Procurement Manager, you will manage indirect procurement activities across categories including HR, Legal, Compliance, Facilities, Travel, Hospitality, stationery and office services.

You will oversee annual spend of approximately $6 million to $10 million, manage 80 to 100 suppliers and support up to 100 sourcing events annually, ensuring purchase requisitions and RFQs are converted into purchase orders and contracts within agreed SLAs.

Role Responsibilities

As an Indirect Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the end-to-end sourcing process across indirect procurement categories.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Driving RFx processes, including tenders, supplier evaluations and selection.
  • Assessing business requirements and developing suitable commercial arrangements.
  • Leading commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers.
  • Managing supplier due diligence, risk assessment and ongoing performance.
  • Converting purchase requisitions and RFQs into purchase orders and contracts within agreed SLAs.
  • Identifying opportunities to deliver savings and improve procurement efficiency.
  • Maintaining accurate procurement records, databases and documentation.
  • Supporting procurement governance, policy compliance and continuous improvement.

 

Requirements for the Role

To succeed in the role, you will have:

  • At least five years’ experience in indirect procurement or a closely related procurement environment.
  • Experience managing categories such as Facilities, HR, Legal, Compliance, Travel, Hospitality, stationery or office services.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing best practice and supplier management.
  • Proven experience in sourcing, negotiation and commercial contract management.
  • Experience managing and influencing internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • A strong understanding of the purchase-to-pay process and procurement governance.
  • Experience using procurement systems, particularly S/4HANA.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, analytical and communication skills.
  • A university degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • CIPS Level 4 or 5 is desirable but not essential. Candidates working towards CIPS, or with equivalent procurement experience, are encouraged to apply.
