Overview
Reporting to the Group Procurement Manager, you will have a pivotal role in delivering indirect procurement activities and ensuring that business requirements are fulfilled through effective sourcing, negotiation and supplier management.
Role Responsibilities
As an Indirect Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment across departments.
- Driving the complete RFX process: conducting market tenders, coordinating evaluation activities and supporting supplier selection.
- Assessing business requirements and structuring commercial arrangements to meet operational and strategic needs.
- Leading commercial and contractual discussions with suppliers, translating negotiated terms into compliant contracts.
- Managing external supply risk by undertaking appropriate due diligence throughout supplier selection, contract execution and ongoing management.
- Identifying continuous improvement opportunities across the supplier portfolio and coordinating implementation.
- Leading initiatives to deliver savings and value through efficient and innovative sourcing strategies.
- Maintaining procurement databases and documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance and reporting readiness.
- Managing the end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process to ensure timely and accurate procurement activity.
Requirements for the Role
- To succeed in the role, you will be/will have:
- A University Degree.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in Indirect Procurement.
- CIPS Level 4 or equivalent professional qualification.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
- Proven experience managing senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
