We build, acquire, lease-up and operate telecommunications towers that can accommodate and power the needs of multiple tenants. Our tenants are the major Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and we serve them across nine high-growth markets (8 in Africa + Oman in the Middle East). Overview
Reporting to the Head of Group Tax, you will be responsible for all aspects of tax reporting, including statutory group financial statements (year-end and interim). Assist with tax projects across the Group’s holding and operating companies, lead technology and process improvements to ensure accurate, timely information is provided to the Finance team, and drive tax compliance across the group.
Role Responsibilities
- Leading all aspects of tax reporting, including statutory group financial statements.
- Assisting with tax projects across the Group’s holding and operating companies.
- Driving tax compliance across the group, including tax returns and payments for Mauritius, UK, and UAE.
- Managing responses to tax audits and enquiries, including engagement with tax authorities.
- Leading technology and process improvements for accurate and timely tax reporting.
- Undertaking tax due diligence for expansion opportunities and reporting findings to senior colleagues.
- Reviewing tax elements in financial modelling and analysing tax structuring opportunities.
- Managing the implementation of the tax function in new operating markets.
- Co-ordinating tax input to the Financial Statements and ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.
- Reviewing and developing new procedures to optimise reporting of tax matters.
Requirements for the Role
- Educated to degree level with a professional qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA, Chartered Tax Advisor).
- Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in a Taxation/Finance role, with at least 1-2 years post-qualification.
- Experience in tax technical projects, tax accounting, group reporting under IFRS standards, and international tax matters.
- Experience in a top tier/Big 4 accountancy firm or within the Tax/Finance function of a listed company.
- Broad working knowledge across corporate income tax, VAT, transfer pricing, and withholding tax risks.
