Engineering Delivery, Quality & Asset Readiness Lead

Role Purpose

The Engineering Delivery, Quality & Asset Readiness Lead is responsible for enabling predictable and timely delivery of revenue-generating projects while ensuring that all new and modified sites enter Operations technically complete, compliant, and stable.

The role combines engineering cycle-time ownership with quality governance and structured handover control, protecting both revenue timelines and capital investment while strengthening DRC’s engineering delivery capability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Delivery & Speed to Market

  • Own engineering-related cycle time across B2S, Colocations, and Active Upgrades
  • Ensure early engineering engagement to prevent late-stage design changes
  • Apply approved design templates and standardised BOMs
  • Define and enforce engineering approval timelines
  • Identify and remove engineering-related bottlenecks
  • Provide structured reporting on engineering cycle-time performance

2. Project Quality & Asset Readiness

  • Own engineering deliverables for new and modified sites (drawings, BOMs, commissioning
  • records)
  • Define and enforce commissioning and testing standards
  • Require formal engineering sign-off prior to Operations handover
  • Govern Project-to-Operations handover acceptance processes
  • Track early-life defects and drive corrective improvements
  • Promote standardised site configurations

3. Standards Integration & Continuous Improvement

  • Align local engineering standards with broader technical frameworks where appropriate
  • Escalate recurring quality or design challenges through structured technical analysis when
  • required
  • Strengthen collaboration between Engineering, Projects, Supply Chain, and Operations
  • Ensure engineering decisions balance speed, quality, and long-term asset stability
  • Performance Measures
  • The role will be assessed against defined annual targets in the following areas:
  • Engineering-related cycle-time improvement
  • Reduction in engineering-driven project delays
  • Engineering documentation completeness and compliance
  • Reduction in early-life defects
  • Quality of Operations handover acceptance

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience
  • Strong background in project engineering, design, or technical delivery
  • Experience balancing delivery speed with quality assurance
  • Strong process optimisation and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial awareness and focus on revenue-impacting activities
  • Ability to influence multiple functional teams
  • Power BI is a plus

Language Requirements

  • Professional working proficiency in English and French (spoken and written) is required
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across multicultural teams.
