Overview

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will serve in a supporting role within the Finance Department, gaining practical exposure to Accounts Payable operations and contributing to the accurate, timely processing of supplier invoices.

Location: Antananarivo, Madagascar

Role Responsibility

As an Finance Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the processing and recording of supplier invoices in line with approved purchase orders
• Verifying invoice accuracy, numbering, and compliance with internal procedures
• Ensuring invoices are allocated to the correct cost centres
• Supporting the approval workflow by ensuring required justifications are in place
• Following up on invoices submitted for approval and maintaining tracking records
• Scanning and uploading invoices into the finance system
• Filing and archiving accounting documentation
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve invoice-related queries

Requirements for the Role

To succeed in the role, you will have:

• A degree or ongoing studies in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills
• Fluency in French
• A basic understanding of general accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of accounting systems, ideally SAP
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage information accurately and confidentially
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• English language skills are an advantage
