We build, acquire, lease-up and operate telecommunications towers that can accommodate and power the needs of multiple tenants. Our tenants are the major Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and we serve them across nine high-growth markets (8 in Africa + Oman in the Middle East). Overview
The Regional Head of Human Resources will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the ongoing delivery of the Group’s Human Resource strategy, policies, and procedures for the West, Central and Southern Africa Region. The role will work closely with the Regional CEO and Regional Executive team to provide input into and develop policies that align to the strategic goals of the region and business. The role will have further functional responsibility to the Human Resources team and will work with the Heads of HR / HR Managers in the region to harmonise HR processes, improve the performance and increase tthe reputation of the HR function.

Role Responsibilities
As Regional Head of HR West, Central and Southern Africa, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing policies and systems to attract, retain and develop the best talent in each market.
- Developing and implementing systems to ensure that performance management processes are in place enabling consistency and compliance across the organisation, including performance improvement and disciplinary actions.
- Working with each OpCo/location within the region to define the annual SG&A / HR budget, track, and monitor spending against budget working with Group Finance.
- With support from group Compensation and Benefits team, oversee the annual bonus and pay review process ensuring policies are adhered to.
- Working closely with the group centre of excellence team to ensure that Opcos in the region receive appropriate support on all issues of training, comp, and ben as well as talent acquisition
- Monitor employment legislation developments in the region, assessing the impact on HT and implementing actions to ensure the company remains compliant.
- With support from group Talent acquisition Manager, allocate internal and/recruit external resources to assist with recruitment in your markets or in case of entering new markets.
Role requirements
To succeed in the role, you will have:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Human Resources, 5 years managing a regional scope (multiples countries). Experience in Africa is a must.
- Training certifications: CIPD Level 7 / Master in HR or in employment Law
- Degree in employment law will be preferred
- Solid experience in employment law, employee relations, grievance and disciplinary procedure
- Experience working in or overseeing Human Resource functions in multiple markets
- Bilingual skills in French and in English is mandatory
- Knowledge of working in African French speaking countries will be added advantage
- Experience in managing Unions and employee representatives
- Great knowledge in Employee engagement, compensation, rewards and benefits, Talent management, Learning and development and Performance Management.
