Financial Accountant

Overview
Reporting to Financial Controller, you will oversee the implementation and operation of Financial Accountant.
Role Responsibilities
As a Financial Accountant, you will be able to:
- Update Balance Sheet support schedules, with appropriate documentation, for selecting prepayment and accrual accounts.
- Scan support onto Share-point and/or Accounts Payable system for a multitude of supplier invoices, support will include GRV’s, contracts, FAC’s as needed.
- Provide support in reconciliation of Landlord payments to be made as per the Landlord database, this will include reviewing contracts and potential returned payments.
- Ensure that the Landlord tracker in excel is maintained with the appropriate data so that the Shared Service Centre can reconcile the invoice to the ledger
- Making sure that the Shared Service Centre is provided with the correct data and liaise with them at least daily, if not more regularly, to resolve any outstanding queries regarding postings related to Cash & Bank & Invoices.
- Assist the Finance team with the cash flow process by keeping up-to date on what key payments are to be made and what payments have been delayed due to internal process delays
- Provide assistance to the Financial Controller with regards to Month-end reporting by reviewing GL accounts and entries against accruals.
Requirements for the Role
To succeed in the role, you will be/will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Professional qualifications – CPA (T) or Part Qualified Accountant (Intermediate – Final level)
- Experience in driving culture change process and building a common culture.
