What we do
We build, acquire, lease-up and operate telecommunications towers that can accommodate and power the needs of multiple tenants. Our tenants are the major Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), and we serve them across nine high-growth markets (eight in Africa and one in the Middle East). Overview
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be an integral member of the Helios Towers Ghana Executive team, responsible for creating and embedding a strategic HR function that drives organisational performance. You will partner closely with the Group HR Department to build high-performing teams, cultivate a culture of excellence and deliver on our Sustainable Business Strategy.

 

Role Responsibilities
As Head of HR – People, Organisation & Development, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the implementation of strategic HR processes, including workforce planning, talent management, performance management and culture change
  • Designing and rolling out internal communications tools to enhance management–employee engagement
  • Conducting needs assessments and delivering organisational development interventions aligned to business objectives
  • Championing HR-led process reviews to optimise headcount and operating efficiency
  • Overseeing performance management, ensuring fair appraisals with SMART objectives
  • Driving the talent review and succession planning processes for critical roles
  • Managing recruitment strategies, induction and onboarding to support workforce growth
  • Implementing employee engagement and relations programmes that reinforce our values
  • Ensuring compliance with Ghanaian Labour Law and Group policies, updating people policies as required
  • Managing front-of-house, office facilities and company vehicle fleet operations

 

Requirements for the Role
To succeed in the role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resource Management or Business Administration
  • At least 10 years’ prior HR experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior HR leadership role
  • A proven track record in HR transformation and leading organisational development projects in telecoms or similar industries
  • Experience driving culture change initiatives
  • In-depth knowledge of Ghanaian Labour Law and local HR practices

 

Desired Skills

  • CIPD, SPHR(i) or equivalent HR certification (advantageous)
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, ideally SuccessFactors
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and coaching abilities
  • Resilience and the capacity to drive complex HR projects independently
  • Strategic thinking with strong analytical and decision-making skills
